Christmas Update!

August 18, 2010

Holy Flip! Can you believe there are less than 130 days until Christmas? (i can’t). Well it’s true and I think we all know it will really be here before we know it.

Each year I get lots of inquiries about Christmas and Holiday Cards. Yes, I do offer them, and a large variety of different kinds and styles. The key thing for people to remember is to plan early.

Ideally, you’ll want to book your session in October or early November, as this will give you plenty of time time review your photographs, make your selections and then receive and address them.

Your session can be in the studio or on location or both.

Be the envy of all your friends and be the only one NOT running around crazy this holiday season! For more information you can email me: Courtney@CourtneyParisPhotography.com or call 812.987.6199

Families like the Lieberts make my job even more enjoyable than it already is. Kelly and I have gone to school together since elementary school and it’s so awesome to see her with a cute family of her own.

Ok, ok, here are the pictues!

Earlier in the year, I was super lucky enough to be the ‘model family’ for Sandy Puc while she was here in Louisville doing her Family workshop.

We were due for some family pictures and having one of the best studio family photographers in the country (in my opinion) take the pictures was pretty darn awesome.

The payment for our ‘work’ during the seminar was a disc with some of her favorite images. I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for these, of course now I can’t decide on which ones to order! ha!

So, say hello to my family!

Rosalind and Ari, oh my gosh. I don’t even think I have words to describe how awesome they are. Once glimpse at this couple and you knew just how much love there was. The wedding was at beautiful Locust Grove here in Louisville, and Rosalind spent so much time and energy in all the details that made the day so special. One of my favorite weddings yet!

*picture heavy because of all the awesomeness that is Rosalind and Ari*

I won’t lie, I’ve been waiting to shoot Rosalind and Ari’s wedding since the minute we met.  Here are just a few images to tide everyone over (it was so hard to just pick 3!)

You know how some pregnant women just look gorgeous and like the vision of picture-perfect baby belly?! Yeah, that’s Robin. It’s like she was made to have gorgeous maternity shots taken! She and I have known each other for 6 or 7 years and a couple years ago she moved with her husband to North Carolina, she knew she was going to be back here for a friends wedding and called to book a session!

Shooting Robin and Anthony was cake, they’re both easy going and, hello! super photogenic, not to mention hilarious be sure to check out the so funny ‘Baby Maker’ shirt!

Amy+Zach are getting married next summer and as a (wonderful) surprise, Amy’s (wonderful) sister-in-law gifted them with a portrait sess;ion as an engagement present. How sweet is that?

Amy showed up in an adorable and bright dress, and she and Zach were game for anything!

I’m not sure if it’s the economy or if people are just really understanding and appreciating the joy they can get by creating something by themselves, as well as enjoying supporting small business where items are individually handmade.

In my personal life as well as business I try to support handmade and local items as best I can. I’d like to start featuring some of the great ideas that I see out there on the world wide interwebz.

First up:
Buying Handmade: Handmade Bridesmaid By Maizie Designs.

Here is a post I did a few months back about my first experience with Maizie Designs, I was hooked!

Rebecca of Maizie Designs has a wonderful eye for jewelry, and I find myself ordering from her null constantly. She’s just recently started working heavily with brides and bridesmaids doing custom orders.
