Monday, June 29th, 2009I Need Your Help!
Saturday, June 27th, 2009As many of you know, I am an affiliated photographer with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, an organization in which photographers donate their time to families who don’t get to take their babies home from the hospital.
As both my children spent precious time in the NICU, one being very touch and go for a while, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
Please don’t misunderstand, this is a very, very hard thing to do. People often ask me, “How do you not just cry through the whole thing”. Umm I do. I cry the whole drive to the hospital and silently cry throughout the session. However, I firmly believe that God lifts the burden from my heart upon leaving the session. Otherwise, there is absolutely no way I could continue doing this.
OK, here’s where we need your help, there are only 5 photographers in the Kentuckiana area who have agreed to give their time and talents to this organization, with a combined population of over 1 million people, it’s just not working. All 5 of us have families, jobs and other outside commitments. We need some more people. BAD!
The area coordinator, Courtney Lambert, has posted some more information over on her blog, please visit her blog, courtneylambertphotography.blogspot.com , and look to your heart, your God, wherever and see if this is a cause you can help!

Louisville Family Photographer: Brand New Baby Everett. First 48 Hours Session
Friday, June 19th, 2009Tiffani contacted me to take pictures of her day old son Everett, for a First 48 Hours Session, meeting his 3 siblings for the first time. Talk about a full room! 4 kiddos all under the age of 5!
The reaction of everyone was just priceless. They all wanted to love on the baby and were so gentle. Tiffani told me she was so happy she thought ahead of time to book a First 48 Hours package as she’ll never have these moments back. Welcome to the world Sweet Everett.

Buy Handmade: Etsy Store
Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009Remember a couple weeks ago where I talked about how much I love packaging? Well I also love supporting and buying handmade, so it’s not surprise that one of my favorite shopping websites is www.etsy.com.
You need to follow her blog too, there she offers a “lovely of the week” as well as sales, previews and interviews with other handmade artisans!
A couple weeks ago I ordered this gorgeous necklace and from Maizie Designs. She also sent a pair of matching earrings. I LOVE them. In addition to them being wonderfully handcrafted, they are the exact color of my logo and branding.
When I got the package in the mail I could hardly stand it! She is a girl after my own heart, her packaging was so perfect!
Take a look.

Louisville Wedding+Portrait Photographer. Rosalind+Ari:Engaged.
Saturday, May 30th, 2009Alright other clients, no pressure but these two brought it! Adorable and so very sweetly in love from their head to their toes. They were willing to climb up to the top of the stage in Central Park and stand in the middle of a road while the crazies surrounded us!
Can’t wait for the wedding in October!

Louisville Wedding Photographer: Rosalind+Ari:Engaged. A Preview
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Rosalind and Ari are one of those couples that photographers love to shoot. Adorable, photogenic and so very obviously in love. I had lots and lots of fun with them, and they were such troopers. After rescheduling their shoot at the last minute because of rain (that never came!), by the end we were all pretty much soaking wet from the humidity.
Here’s a quick peek and I’ll have the rest done soon!

Sunday, April 12th, 2009My friend Christine contacted me a few months back and wanted to get her family together for pictures as a birthday present for her mom. Mother Nature threw us a few curveballs, but we got it together tonight and took some beautiful pictures on the grounds of their church.
Here’s a little sneak peak for them!
*anyone else noticing the rain boot theme here lately? Gotta love spring!*

After The Aisle with Jessica: Louisville Wedding Photography
Friday, April 10th, 2009Jessica has the best bone structure and the best wedding dress body ever. Plus the fact that she’s so very comfortable in front of the camera and TONS of fun to be with.
From the day since her wedding, which I was able to attend as a guest and not a photographer, Jess has been eager to shoot this session. The location we chose is actually a local crane company’s yard. They’ve been gracious enough to let me shoot there a couple times. So without further ado, the awesomeness that is Jessica! Sorry for the image heavy post, I had so much amazingness to work with!
