New Albany Children’s Photography: Valentine’s Day Mini-Sessions

Sunday, March 2nd, 2014

I saw some of the cutest people in my studio last month for the Sweetpea Mini-Sessions. Just look at them!

Mini-sessions are a great idea for quick themed sessions or if you have an adorable outfit and just want one or two great shots. They are not the best idea if your kiddo is camera-shy or for families or you want an extensive spread of pictures. Full sessions are what you’ll need if you’re looking for full family sessions, tiny kids, those who aren’t super thrilled in front of the camera or outfit changes.

Keep an eye on the blog or facebook for the next round of mini-sessions in the spring! Or message me if you’re ready to schedule your family session! Courtney (at) courtneyparisphotography.com

Remember Eden? I did her newborn pictures and before that her mommy’s maternity photography. Both she and her mom are gorgeous. Take a look at these eyes and smooth, sweet baby skin!

New Albany Portrait Photography: A BFF Sesh(ion) ;-)

Friday, August 2nd, 2013

A few years ago, a cousin called with a picture idea. Some of her friends were coming in town and a group of them, who had been friends since high school, were turning 40 that year. She wanted to set up an appt to get some pictures of all of them together, since one lived far away. Umm yes, what a great freaking idea. I loved it.

So we got together one evening before they went out to dinner and drinks. It was one of the most fun sessions yet. These girls had a blast together. We got some wonderful shots and more importantly, they captured this moment forever. A friend of mine saw the pictures and was adamant that our group of girl friends set up something similar. We were all in the midst of different places in-life, pregnant, trying to get pregnant, new jobs, deployments, new babies. Yet we were always still there for each other! So I called a photographer friend of mine and we had that captured as well. I have one of those awesome pictures framed on my mantle. I love looking at it.

I think of all the stories I see on facebook of my friends being their for each other. Having dinner groups, craft nights, baby-sitting for each other etc. It is so important. So I’m offering a full day to grab your girl friends, get glammed up and head out for some pics commemorating your friendships. August 17, appts from 9-5, 45 minutes of shooting. $35/girl and you will each get digital copies of your edited pics.

Here are Eden’s pics from when she came to see me in the studio. If you remember, I photographed Eden’s gorgeous mom and posted them back in March. So beautiful.

New Albany Family Pictures: Emory, Month 4

Monday, December 31st, 2012

I absolutely love when parents agree to do the ‘baby plan’ (fancy name for 4 sessions over the first year of the kiddos life!) It is so much fun for me to be able to watch the kids grow! I feel like such a part of the family! (that’s not creepy right?) Here is Emory’s 4 month session, Look at those cheeks! I know lots of people waited for Emory to get here and she had some super excited grandma’s!

Happy in mommy’s arms!

She was talking up a storm here!

Louisville Portrait Photography: 2013 Updates

Saturday, December 29th, 2012

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is ready for a great new year! Big plans and some changes at Courtney Paris Photography for 2013 and I wanted to keep you all in the loop!

All scheduled sessions beginning January 1, 2013 will priced in the following way:

each session will be $350 and include the following:
up to 2 hours of photography at location of your choice
editing of images
$50 Print Credit
In studio or home editing session.

With almost every client order I field questions, this way, I will be right there while you order, ready to answer your questions, show you sizes, finishes etc. At the time of your photography session, we will schedule your viewing session, you can either come to the studio or I can come to your home. And all proofs will be ready to view in 10 days! Yes, you will have the option to purchase your disc of images, but ONLY after a minimum print order. Why do i do this? Because I want you to actually get your memories up on the wall! So many times (and I am guilty of this as well) my clients will order a disc and if I talk with them weeks or even months later, it’s always the same response, oh yeah I have the disc, I just haven’t ordered my images yet, I need to order my prints. By the time we get around to it everyone in the family looks different and you invested in an amazing session with literally nothing to show on your walls!

I am so very excited to meet new and rephotograph current clients in the new year! Thank you for choosing me to capture your family! If you’re ready to schedule a session for the new year, please send me an email Courtney@courtneyparisphotography.com

The Rigel Family

Friday, October 12th, 2012

I always love to blog photos from sessions, it takes me back to the day of the shoot. Whether it’s laughing at the kids being silly or capturing a great moment between siblings, it stirs up great emotions. When the session I’m blogging is of my BFF and her family it makes me even happier! Unfortunately, Becky and her family live down in Florida now, so our time together is few and far between but it is ALWAYS wonderful.
